The Mortgage to Rent Scheme is a new service recently launched by Communities Scotland with the assistance of social landlords like Larkfield Housing Association. This scheme may be able to help you if you are in mortgage difficulties and you are in danger of having your home repossessed. Arrangements can be made for your home to be purchased by a social landlord like Larkfield HA, and for you to continue to live there as a tenant.

Funding will be made available to the new landlord so that any necessary repairs can be carried out to the property and you can be charged a social rent. But please remember the scheme only applies where you are in mortgage difficulties and in danger of having your home repossessed.
