Medical Adaptations

WHAT IF I AM DISABLED OR ELDERLY AND INFIRM?

Larkfield has some money, in the way of a grant from Communities Scotland, to provide adaptations for tenants who are physically disabled or infirm.

These can range from smaller items such as internal and external handrails to larger items such as ramps and showers.

We obtain advice and recommendations about adaptions from the Occupational Therapists within the Social Work Department.

WHO CAN GET THESE ADAPTATIONS?

Anyone who is a tenant or lives in a Larkfield Housing Association property and suffers from some physical disability.

DO I HAVE TO BE REGISTERED DISABLED?

No, you just have to be in need of an adaptation which would help you or a member of your household to manage better in your home.

WHO DO I CONTACT?

If you are having difficulty managing and you think you may need an adaptation such as those mentioned above, then you should contact the Social Work Department for advice at Social Work Services, Dalrymple House, 195 Dalrymple Street, Greenock PA15 1UN.
